Our internship will immerse you in the reality of pioneering missions in Europe. You will grow in worship and intercession, serve the poor and marginalized, share the Gospel in Krakow’s international environment, document God’s work through media and storytelling and support missionaries and mission leaders at Iris Krakow — all while living in a missional community.

Joining the internship program is a unique opportunity to:
- Experience the behind-the-scenes of pioneering mission work in Europe – see what everyday life and ministry in a missions base looks like.
- Support missionaries and mission leaders – learn by serving alongside experienced leaders in the field.
- Grow in your gifts and passions – depending on your skills, you will have the opportunity to be involved in:
- leading worship and intercession in the house of prayer,
- cooking and serving meals for those in need,
- practicing street evangelism in Krakow’s international environment, including outreach among students,
- charitable work among the homeless and marginalized,
- documenting God’s work and events at the missions base,
- developing skills in creating newsletters and social media content,
- practical service within the missions base,
- living and serving in a missional community
Requirements
To apply for the Iris Krakow Internship, we ask that you have prior training and experience in a missional or ministry environment. This can be fulfilled through one of the following:
- Graduation from the Harvest School of Missions (Iris Global),
- Previous participation in an Iris Europe Camp,
- Or completion of another recognized missions or ministry school (such as YWAM, BSSM, or similar programs).

Financial Support and Living Costs
Interns are responsible for raising and managing their own financial support while serving at Iris Krakow. The average monthly cost of living in Krakow is approximately:
- Accommodation: 1200 PLN
- Basic meals: 1000 PLN
- Public transportation: 150–200 PLN
Interns have the option to stay at the Iris Krakow base in shared bedrooms (2–5 people). The cost for accommodation at the base is 1200 PLN per month, given as a donation toward the running of the missions base. Alternatively, interns are welcome to arrange their own housing in Krakow.
Meals are self-catered. A shared kitchen is available at the base and can be used together with other missionaries and Iris Krakow guests. Average cost of basic meals is 1000 PLN per month.
Krakow has an excellent public transport network, with an average monthly pass costing around 200 PLN. Rideshare services such as Uber and Bolt are also widely available and reliable in the city.
We would not want finances to get in the way of your missionary calling. Stepping out in faith is always a challenge, if you feel like this is opportunity is for you, and the only thing stopping you is financial situation, we want to hear from you. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to speak Polish to participate?
No. The internship is run in English, and most outreach is in international or bilingual contexts. Knowing Polish is helpful but not required.
Is the internship paid?
No. This is a missions internship; interns are responsible for raising their own financial support to cover living expenses.
Can I work part-time or study during the internship?
Yes, but this depends on individual arrangements with the internship leaders and must not interfere with your ministry, training, and community responsibilities.
How many hours per week will I serve?
Interns typically serve around 30–36 hours per week during high season, and about 13–20 hours during low season, with one full day off each week.
What type of accommodation is provided?
Shared rooms (2–5 people) at the Iris Krakow base are available for 1,200 PLN per month as a donation toward the base. Alternatively, interns may arrange their own housing.
Are meals provided?
Meals are self-catered. A shared kitchen is available at the base, and there are many affordable food options nearby.
What will my responsibilities be?
Responsibilities depend on your skills and the needs of the base. They may include worship and intercession, street evangelism, serving the homeless, cooking, practical tasks, documenting events, creating newsletters and social media content, and supporting missionaries and leaders.
Can I bring my family?

Will I receive a certificate or reference at the end of the internship?
Yes, interns who successfully complete the program may receive a certificate of completion and a reference letter upon request.
