Praise testimony: We have a new website

One of the things that is rarely talked about in missions is the pragmatical aspect of it. When you become a missionary – there are many practical challenges that suddenly come your way and you need to be facing them without any prior preparation, skills or resources to handle them.

For us it was a website. Years ago, we had people coming to us asking “what are you guys doing?”, “what are your needs?”, “share with us some of the testimonies from your ministry”, “what events are you having?”, “how can we join you?” and so on. They wanted to find out more about us, see some information get the idea of what we do. And so we would be spending hours trying to explain everything, and in the end, we didn’t feel like they understood or got the information they needed.

We needed a way to communicate with the world what is Iris Krakow about and how they can be a part of it. We needed a WEBSITE!

The problem was… we didn’t know how to build one or what it would take to have it. We are missionaries, not web developers. We tried with our own effort for multiple months, giving it hours of our time, with not much result. We didn’t have finances to pay for professional services, and we didn’t feel like it was the right convenience to invest it.

Then the first provision came in 2022: our friends from Asia reached out to us and found a willing content creator to start a website for us. We were very happy because it allowed us to at least have a basic website with some information about what we do. But the problem was – after a while their project ended and still many of our needs were not met. Our missions base grew and we needed updates on the website and this required time, effort and skills.

Throughout the year, many people generously offered to help with small updates or simplified solutions so that we could handle the website ourselves, and it was working. Although deep in our hearts, we prayed believing that maybe the Lord would actually bring someone who would be able to dedicate themselves to this project, with excellence.

And sure enough – this year, He did! We were approached by a friend of ours, who asked us about our needs. We shared our desire for a well functioning website with all of the practical aspects of it. Without hesitating, he organized a professional team who was able to implement all of the updated we needed. What a blessing it was.

We praised God and want to remember about His faithfulness, that even if sometimes we need to wait for the right time, the Lord will make it happen! We just keep on following Him with the little that we have, and He multiplies it by surrounding us with those who are willing to step in and be His answer to the practical needs on the mission field.
